State Farm® Insurance Agent Nate Lauer

"First, when our auto policies were switched to the new system, Nate asked if we wanted to continue rental car coverage. I said yes. He suggested that we don't continue it since we have 2 vehicles. I don't drive my husband's truck so I wanted rental car. I find out now after a car accident that he didn't put rental car on our policy. Also, I'm stuck paying for it during a long repair because State Farm will only pay for a recycled headlamp assembly from Texas, that's apparently shipped with lowest priority. My headlamp assembly was like new but they won't pay for something better.

Now, we have a problem with our homeowners coverage. I called in to file a claim because a pipe under the house was clogged and caused the water from the water softener regeneration to backflow into the furnace. A furnace inspection showed the furnace is now not safe to operate. I talked to Jen, who was full of attitude today. She said they don't cover this without an optional add-on to the policy. I've never even heard of this add-on. Now claims department has to review this to determine if they will pay for the water damage to our furnace because they're considering this an external plumbing issue. The clog was under the house, under the kitchen specifically. We're finding out that State Farm lowballs their customers time and time again in any way that they can. I would recommend signing up for coverage from a company more willing to take care of its customers when it comes time to pay a claim."
